Since opening in 1990 Haighfield has gained an excellent reputation in the community for the quality of care it delivers

The Home is located between Wigan town centre and Standish Village on the A49 and has a bus stop outside the Home.

Staff

The Home Manager leads the care team, providing 24 hour nursing care in a safe, clean and homely environment. Our staff turnover is low, senior care assistants have all been in post for at least 4 years - the longest serving staff have been with us for more than 10 years.

Training

There is a great emphasis on training, with all staff undergoing an induction programme, tailored to meet the needs of our residents and enabling us to maintain our standards of care. Many staff are undergoing or have completed National Vocational Qualifications in care.
